Why do we have different senses of what makes a good society?

Political philosophy varies due to: values (freedom vs. equality vs. tradition), life experiences, economic self-interest, education, cultural background, and historical context. Debates between liberalism, conservatism, socialism, and other ideologies reflect genuinely different visions of the good society.
