Is it possible to have no sense of smell?

Anosmia (complete smell loss) affects ~1% of people, often from head injury, sinus disease, or genetic factors. COVID-19 caused temporary anosmia in many. It significantly affects taste (flavor is mostly smell) and can be dangerous (can't detect gas leaks, smoke).
