Can we travel to other stars?

With current technology, no—Alpha Centauri (closest star system) is 4.37 light-years away; our fastest probe would take tens of thousands of years. Proposed concepts include: nuclear pulse propulsion, solar sails (Breakthrough Starshot), and generation ships. All face enormous technical challenges.
