How do sea turtles find their way back to their birth beach?

Sea turtles use Earth's magnetic field as a navigational map and compass, combined with chemical cues and possibly wave patterns. The ability is partly innate (hatchlings enter the sea with magnetic maps) and partly learned through experience.
