Was there really a Trojan Horse?

No archaeological evidence confirms a literal wooden horse. The story may be a mythologized version of siege tactics, or the 'horse' could refer to an earthquake (Poseidon, horse god) or a battering ram. Homer's account was written centuries after the events.
