How do I teach kids about consent?

Start young: teach proper body part names, that their body belongs to them, and they can say no to unwanted touch (even from relatives). Model respecting their boundaries ('Do you want a hug?'). As they age, discuss relationships, respect, and the legal aspects of consent.
