How do I talk to kids about strangers?

Teach 'tricky people' concept rather than stranger danger (most harm comes from known people). Rules: no going anywhere with anyone without parent permission, no secrets from parents, trust gut feelings. Role-play scenarios. Balance safety awareness with not creating excessive fear.
