Should I disclose my salary history?

In many jurisdictions, employers can no longer ask. If asked where not prohibited, you can politely decline: 'I'm looking for compensation aligned with the role's responsibilities and market rates.' Focus on what you want to earn, not what you've earned. Negotiate based on value, not past salary.
